Another Successful User Group from GB Group

Another Successful User Group from GB Group

April 17th saw users of our ID3 technology congregate in the Honourable Artillery Company in London for the third annual ID3 User Group. The morning focussed on updates from GB personnel on our ID verification products and services with an interesting insight from Mark Courtney, Group Product Manager into new features and planned enhancements for URU™. Micah Willbrand, International Product Development Manager, highlighted the countries GB is now focussing on for its international ID3 Check service.

In the afternoon, presentations by Unibet and Mark Johnson from The Risk Management Group highlighted some of the issues businesses have to face when dealing with clients in a remote environment. The rise of social networking as a phenomenon in its own right - and a marketing tool to extend brand value in large, established companies has led to many businesses having to consider customer identity verification even outside the regulated environment.

By far the most well received session were the break-out roundtables where users took part in facilitated discussion sessions focussing on key issues such as the impact of the credit crunch on fraud and ID generally; self exclusion in gaming and whether we will ever reach the nirvana of the paper-less customer sign-up process.

“The venue was excellent and the networking is invaluable” Oakham Ltd

“Very interesting developments. The feedback forum was good to see what other industries gain from URU and ID3.”                  GFT Global Markets UK Ltd

“Presentations were short and to the point”  Killik & Co

ID3 clients who weren’t able to attend the User Group on 17th April can still request copies of the presentations by emailing id3team@gb.co.uk

And finally, thanks to Karen Franklin and her Events Team who never fail to sniff out venues and create events that reflect our community of users – innovative, dynamic and always just a little different!
